Maastricht, 26 January 2026 - Team RaceArt is venturing into its title defense season in Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux with a revamped lineup and two championship newcomers. Team stalwart Jaap van Lagen (NED) returns to defend his overall drivers’ title, joined by talented youngsters Arthur Peters (BEL) and Joep Breedveld (NED).

RaceArt enjoyed a landmark season in Carrera Cup Benelux in 2025, taking a clean sweep of titles as it captured the championship in the overall, Pro-Am and teams’ standings. This year, the team is looking to build on that success as it returns to the series, once again fielding three Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.

The team’s efforts will be spearheaded by defending champion Van Lagen, who stays on after a highly successful 2025 campaign in which he claimed four race victories en route to the title. The 49-year-old is a true veteran of one-make Porsche competition, having previously also captured two race wins in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

Van Lagen: “I am delighted to be able to drive for Team RaceArt in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux for another season. Last year, we had a fantastic, successful season together. I am really looking forward to defending my title. It will also be great to work with Joep and Arthur, our two young rookies. We are going to do our best to achieve great success for the team. I would like to thank Roger Grouwels for the great offer and the faith shown in me. Hopefully, we can repeat last year's success."

Alongside Van Lagen, the team is excited to welcome two promising youngsters to complete its lineup, who both step up to Carrera Cup competition having already achieved championship success on the Porsche ladder.

Arthur Peters joins RaceArt as the reigning GT4 champion in Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux. This comes off the back of a dominant campaign in which he took eleven class wins from twelve starts and finished second in the overall standings, ahead of a large number of drivers from a faster class.

Peters: “I can’t wait to write the next chapter of my career in Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux with Team RaceArt. My time in GT4 has forged me into a better, more consistent driver and I’m ready to take the next step. It’s a big challenge, but I’m excited to take it on. I also look forward to working with Jaap, a legend in Porsche racing, as well as my fellow Rookie Joep.”

Completing the lineup is the previously announced Joep Breedveld, who will join Peters in the Rookie category. The 19-year-old is another rising talent in the world of Porsche racing and steps up to Carrera Cup competition after capturing the GT4 title in Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland.

Breedveld: “Racing in the Carrera Cup Benelux is a childhood dream come true for me, and doing so with RaceArt is the icing on the cake. I am proud to be part of such a prestigious team with outstanding results, and I will do everything I can to contribute to their successes! After my victory in Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland, this is the perfect moment to make the switch to the GT3 Cup car. I am looking forward to learning as much as possible this year and becoming a better driver. I can't wait for the season to start in April!"

Van Lagen, Peters and Breedveld will first hit the track for the official Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux test and media day at Circuit Zandvoort on April 7. The season opener takes place at Circuit

Spa-Francorchamps on May 7-9 as part of the support bill for the FIA World Endurance Championship. Further rounds take place at Zandvoort, Imola, Hockenheim and Zolder.

Team manager Marwin Moonen said: “The 2025 season was one of the most successful in our team’s history and one we will be looking to build on as we embark on a third year in Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. To that end, I’m pleased that we have once again managed to put together a strong, three-car lineup. It has become something of a gathering of champions, combining Jaap as reigning drivers’ champion, our own success in the teams’ standings and the GT4 titles that Arthur and Joep both achieved last year. We are delighted to be continuing our collaboration with Jaap after winning the overall drivers’ title together last year. With all his experience, he will be invaluable in coaching our new talents Arthur and Joep. They have both earned their stripes in GT4 competition and we are looking forward to working with them as they embark on the next phase of their respective careers. The goal for this season will be to defend both our overall drivers’ and teams’ title, as well as challenging for the Rookie championship.”
